New Secretary Required!

Mrs Sylvia Howard will announce at the Hassocks Community Association’s Annual General Meeting on 20th July 2016 that she will be resigning as Secretary to the HCA and Adastra Hall Management Committee who are responsible for the administration and running of the Adastra Hall.   

It is necessary for this position be covered again as quickly as possible following this date. The work involved is arranging, attending and making a record of any meeting and dealing with any correspondence arising.    Keeping stationery up to date with regard to alteration of hire fees, booking regulations etc.    Dealing with any general correspondence as to the running of the hall including publicity.

There is a small honorarium paid annually together with repayment of any normal expenses incurred.    The duties can be covered from home but there is a small office at the Adastra Hall where records are kept.

This appointment would suit any volunteer who is computer literate and who feels a need to become involved in the local community or has time on their hands such as a recent retiree or perhaps where children have moved on.
